Airwaves Supports your local Aero Club

Postby ozloadie » Fri Jun 19, 2015 1:51 pm

Got to commend the latest edition of Airwaves driving the issue of local Aero Club support.
I've never understood why the support for these organisations in many places seems directly related to the $$$$. Sounds like the dog dish wagging the dog!
There are many ways to replace cost with passion and smart input, particularly using the administrative tasking and ground operations as the basis for qualification in relevant professions. Get all involved.
Don't segregate categories of operators to the extent that they don't feel welcome coming through the door.
The original classification of aeroplanes included anything that flew at all.
Keep it flying, Don't quit!

I've always enjoyed supporting my local Aeroclub when working in a country town.
It gives you someone to have a sip with and for a better working relationship in the air.
What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.
